Crypto gaming is a little lackluster right now. The entire mobile gaming industry in the U.S. is estimated to be worth $15.1 billion dollars in the year 2020 alone, and will reach 153 billion by 2027. We have a lot of room to work with for crypto gaming, and as blockchain technology develops and gets more efficient, we’ll see better, and real studios getting behind crypto and NFT games.
One such developer that will NOT be touching crypto games however, is Valve – as they said they will not be dabbling in that space. We may see future AAA studios ban blockchain games as part of their strategy, and there will be certainly a divide between the classic gamer and the crypto gamer.
The Metaverse will enable all of this, so it is an exciting time to see what’s going to happen.
Hopefully I taught you how to fish in this game. Thanks 🙂
